Al Berwazthirty years, finally legible.

A broker founded in Abu Dhabi in 1995 carrying thirteen product lines across three unrelated audiences: businesses, families, and marine and engineering operators. One site had to serve all three without asking anyone to read the other two.

01The Brief

Nobody buys “insurance.”

They buy group health for forty staff, or cover for one car, or a marine cargo policy. A broker’s site fails the moment it makes a facilities manager wade through travel insurance to find liability.

Al Berwaz has broked in Abu Dhabi since 1995, and the catalogue reflects that: thirteen lines spanning financial lines and trade credit at one end, pleasure craft and home at the other, marine and engineering in a category of their own.

So the split came first. Three families, named for who is buying rather than how insurers classify risk, and a quote form that already knows which family you came from, so nobody chooses from thirteen options in a dropdown.

Four pages. The catalogue sits in one.

A broker does not need a large site, it needs a decisive one. Everything resolves into four pages, with the whole catalogue anchored inside Products so any line is one scroll and one jump away.

03The System

One accent. Everything else gets out of the way.

Insurance copy is long and unavoidably dry. The system gives it one colour for action and nothing else to compete with, so a page of policy detail still has a single obvious next step.

04The Catalogue

Thirteen lines, sorted by who asks.

Insurers group products by class of risk. Buyers do not. The families below are named for the person on the other end of the enquiry, which is why marine and engineering sit apart from everything else.

05The Funnel

Four forms, not one long dropdown.

The quote request is the only conversion on the site, so it forks by family. Arrive from Business and the insurance-type field already lists the six business lines and nothing else.

Industry enquiry

Marine or engineering only. Two options, so the field is a pair, not a list.

Every form carries the UAE Central Bank notice: premiums are paid by the client direct to the insurer, and no employee collects cash. On a broker’s site that line is not fine print, it is the fraud defence, so it sits in the footer of every page and under every form.

06The Build

Client-editable, and running right here.

Built so the team can add a line or swap a carrier without us. Both frames below are the live site at the width they were designed for. Click in and use one.

07The Approach

Sort the catalogue. Then design the enquiry.

Three passes, and the form was specified before any page was drawn.

Phase 01 · Sort

Group by Buyer

Thirteen lines were listed and regrouped by who enquires rather than by class of risk. That produced three families, and the three families produced the navigation.

Phase 02 · Funnel

Fork the Form

One quote form became four, each pre-scoped to its family. The generic form stays for anyone arriving from the header with no context yet.

Phase 03 · Build

Hand Over Editable

Built on a managed platform so the team adds lines, carriers and testimony themselves. Thirty years of relationships change faster than a website budget.

08The Outcome

A broker that reads as a specialist. Whichever door you came through.
